Co-Owner Center Director
Cayleigh O'Connell
Cayleigh O’Connell is Program Director for IMS’s Lower and Upper Elementary programs. A University of Connecticut graduate (B.A. in French & Political Science), she began at IMS as a Lead Toddler Guide and later taught English in Argenteuil, France, deepening her bilingual and cultural immersion practice. Returning to Vermont, she moved into the Elementary program and now supports guides with coaching, curriculum alignment, and family communication. Cayleigh champions individualized, hands‑on learning—project work, research, and practical life—that fosters curiosity, independence, and global awareness, while building strong partnerships between home and school. She coordinates projects and bilingual presentations that connect math, language, and culture to real‑world work and guides teachers in observation and lesson planning daily. well.
Adrian Dieckman
Adrian Dieckman has been a valued member of Immersion Montessori School for over a year, serving in multiple roles with dedication and enthusiasm. With nearly a decade of experience caring for children from infancy through adolescence, Adrian brings a nurturing presence and a genuine passion for helping each child grow with confidence and curiosity.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Associate’s degree in Sociology from William Paterson University. Adrian is currently pursuing her Montessori Diploma through IMS sponsorship, deepening her understanding of Montessori principles and her commitment to early childhood education.
Siuli Khatun
Siuli Khatun is an experienced early childhood educator with over nine years of teaching experience as both a private tutor and kindergarten teacher. She holds a Diploma in Elementary Education from the National Institute of Open Schooling and is ESL-certified by the Illinois Department of Education.
Known for her patience, empathy, and gentle guidance, Siuli has a calm and nurturing presence that helps young children feel secure and confident as they explore their world. Her collaborative approach and dedication to individualized learning make her a trusted and valued member of the Immersion Montessori School community.
Jessica Andino
Jessica Andino Cepeda is a bilingual professional from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Management), an Associate Degree in Nursing, and an Associate Degree in Secretarial Sciences. She brings a unique combination of administrative precision, customer care, and team leadership to her role at Immersion Montessori School.
Before joining IMS, Jessica gained extensive experience in management and supervision through positions as a General Supervisor, Customer Service Representative, and Regional Manager Assistant. Her career in both the business and healthcare sectors has shaped her as an organized, compassionate professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Jennifer Bush
Jennifer Bush is Lead Teacher and Site Director at IMS. She holds a B.A. in Special Education from Southern New Hampshire University and has passed the Praxis® Core and Subject Assessments. Jennifer has experience across early childhood and elementary settings with a focus on individualized learning, inclusion, and developmental support. At IMS she oversees curriculum implementation and licensing alignment, collaborates on behavior supports and literacy/numeracy, and guides family partnerships and staff mentoring. Known for clear communication and reflective practice, she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education. She collaborates on IEP goals, uses observation to inform instruction, and designs supports that build literacy, numeracy, and self‑regulation. She mentors assistants in positive guidance and family communication.
Stevie Wyman
Stevie Wyman is a valued member of the Immersion Montessori School team, bringing dedication, dependability, and a strong work ethic to the classroom. A graduate of Hartford High School in White River Junction, Stevie has prior experience as a Life Enrichment Associate at Scotland House in Quechee, where they assisted with daily activities, organization, and caregiving for community members.
Antonio Martinez
Antonio Martínez Ramos is an experienced educator from Spain with a strong background in primary education, language instruction, and physical development. He earned his degree in Primary Education from the University of Barcelona and holds additional certifications in Free School methodologies, Nonviolent Communication, and Montessori fundamentals.
Before joining Immersion Montessori School, Antonio founded and directed S21 School in Sant Pere de Ribes, a program designed to support international children and those with special educational needs. His career spans roles as a primary teacher, physical education instructor, and psychomotricity specialist, as well as a Spanish language teacher for both children and adults.
Daniel (Danny) Delapaz
Daniel “Danny” Delapaz brings his passion for culinary arts and hands-on learning to the Immersion Montessori School community. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Danny has extensive experience in the restaurant industry, where he served as a head cook and team leader in busy kitchens across Chicago. He holds a Food Handler Training Certificate from the State of Illinois and is known for his creativity, efficiency, and dedication to quality and safety.
At IMS, Danny leads the Nutrition Program, preparing fresh, wholesome meals that reflect the school’s commitment to health, culture, and community. He also contributes to the Enrichment Program, teaching children about food science, nutrition, and global cuisine through interactive cooking activities.
Melissa Lajara
Melissa Lajara Silva, MA, is an experienced educator and clinician from Ponce, Puerto Rico, who combines her background in psychology and education to support the holistic development of young children. She holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology, reflecting her deep commitment to understanding and nurturing emotional and cognitive growth in early learners.
Before joining Immersion Montessori School, Melissa worked as a Spanish Teacher Assistant at Chicago Montessori and as a Mental Health Clinician, where she provided therapy and developmental support for children and families. Her bilingual fluency in Spanish and English allows her to build strong connections with children and parents alike, enriching the classroom experience through language and cultural learning.
Lazaro Fernandez Menendez
Lázaro Fernández, BS in Sports Science & Health Promotion (Sports and Wellness Specialist Guide) is originally from Bayamón, Puerto Rico, earned his degree from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, and represented Puerto Rico on its National Volleyball Team. He also taught high school physical education. At IMS, Lázaro promotes fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits among students.
Larissa Riviezzo
Larissa Riviezzo is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education and brings both professional dedication and personal passion to her work at the Nido Campus. A loving mother of two, Larissa understands the importance of nurturing environments that balance care, curiosity, and exploration.
She has a special interest in art and sensory development, often incorporating creative, hands-on experiences that help young children express themselves and build independence. Larissa is known for her kind, patient approach and her ability to connect with each child through warmth, empathy, and genuine enthusiasm for their growth.
Laura Golnabi
Amin (Adrian) Golnabi
Adrian Golnabi has been part of the Immersion Montessori School community since 2020, supporting both classroom learning and technology integration. As an Assistant Guide, he helps create a nurturing and engaging environment where young children build independence, creativity, and respect for one another. Adrian is bilingual in English and Spanish, and he uses this skill to promote language immersion and meaningful communication in the classroom.
In addition to his work with children, Adrian also serves as part of the IT Team, providing hands-on support with classroom technology, tablets, and audiovisual systems. His calm, solutions-oriented approach and dedication to early education make him an invaluable part of the IMS team.
Bonnie O'Connell
Bonnie O’Connell brings 10+ years supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Suffolk University and training in PBIS and ABA. Before IMS, Bonnie served as a Behavior Interventionist and Paraeducator with the Orange East Supervisory Union, partnering with teachers and families to deliver individualized supports that build communication, regulation, and social‑emotional skills. At IMS she mentors staff, models de‑escalation and visual supports, and uses data‑informed strategies such as reinforcement schedules and functional behavior assessment. As Regional Manager for the Upper Valley, Bonnie oversees classrooms, provides PD, and ensures consistent, compassionate practices across teams. She supports IEPs, trains teams in trauma‑informed care, and strengthens home‑school communication.
Emma Carroll
Emma Carroll brings a strong background in early childhood education, curriculum design, and behavioral support to her role as Compliance Coordinator at Immersion Montessori School. She has extensive experience developing and maintaining high-quality learning environments that nurture independence, creativity, and emotional growth for infants through elementary-aged children.
Before joining IMS, Emma worked as a Behavior Interventionist with Green Mountain Behavior Consulting, where she supported students with autism and learning differences through individualized instruction and positive behavioral strategies. She also served as a Preschool Teacher at the Children’s Center for Creative Learning, designing engaging classroom experiences rooted in play and exploration.
Benjamin Muldoon
Benjamin Muldoon brings a strong background in history, cultural studies, and communication to his work with students at Immersion Montessori School. He holds a Master’s degree in Ancient History from King’s College London and a First-Class Bachelor’s degree from Cardiff University, where he specialized in historical inquiry, research, and writing.
Before transitioning into education, Benjamin worked as a caseworker in the Houses of Parliament, developing skills in mentorship, organization, and thoughtful dialogue—qualities he now channels into his classroom practice. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep appreciation for learning, curiosity, and cross-cultural understanding.
Kafré O'Connell
Since 2020, Kafré O’Connell has helped shape IMS through creativity, operations leadership, and a deep commitment to language immersion. She began as Enrichment Programs Coordinator and Co‑Director and in 2024 became Chief Operations Officer and Co‑Owner of the Tri‑State Region. Kafré oversees daily operations, program development, and staff training; mentors Spanish‑speaking guides and assistants; and ensures consistent routines, communication, and safety practices across campuses. She partners with teams to implement curriculum smoothly in a nurturing, bilingual environment while strengthening family engagement. She coordinates schedules and compliance and partners with families so classrooms run smoothly and children experience bilingual routines.
Natalia Gutierrez
Natalia Gutierrez has been a dedicated member of the Immersion Montessori School community for the past 1.5 years, where she combines her deep love of early childhood education with her commitment to creating nurturing, engaging environments for young learners. She holds a Montessori certification for toddlers and continues to expand her expertise in child development and bilingual education.
As Lead Guide and Program Director for the Toddler Community, Natalia guides children through their formative years with warmth, patience, and intentionality. She focuses on helping each child develop independence, confidence, and curiosity, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Taraneh Momtahen
Taranéh Momtahen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature from Azad University in Iran and brings a strong passion for early childhood education to her work at Immersion Montessori School. As a Substitute Guide, she provides consistent classroom support and ensures continuity of care across multiple programs, maintaining high standards aligned with both New Hampshire and Vermont licensing regulations.
Taranéh is recognized for her organization, calm presence, and thoughtful approach to supporting children’s learning and development. She holds CPR and First Aid certifications, demonstrating her commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for all students. Her ability to engage meaningfully with children and understanding of developmentally appropriate practices make her a valued member of the IMS team.
Kaitlyn Friot
Kaitlyn Friot spent most of her childhood in central Vermont, surrounded by her family and their beloved dogs. She graduated high school early and went on to attend the University of Vermont, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus in Early Childhood Education in 2020.
During her time at UVM, Kaitlyn gained valuable experience student teaching in several schools across Vermont, where she discovered her passion for supporting young learners and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments.
In 2022, Kaitlyn joined the IMS community, taking on multiple roles including Lead Guide, Center Director, Enrollment Team member, and Enrichment Programs Coordinator. In 2024, she relocated to North Carolina, continuing her dedication to fostering early childhood growth and learning.
Ruth Villegas Rivera
Ruth Villegas Rivera brings 16+ years in early childhood education. She serves as Site Director of the HSS Afterschool Program and Specialist Guide in the Toddler Program, using positive reinforcement and compassionate communication to build independence and emotional well‑being. Ruth holds a B.S. in Nursing Sciences and an A.S. in Early Childhood Education, blending child development with clinical insight. She has completed fieldwork in hospitals and early learning centers in San Juan and Caguas, Puerto Rico, and is completing an IMS‑sponsored Montessori Diploma (NAMC). Families know her for calm leadership, steady routines, and warm, responsive care. She partners with families on toilet learning and routines, models language and visuals, and prepares toddler environments for practical life, sensory play, and Spanish‑English language.
Vilma Cabral Trinidad
Vilma Cabral Trinidad is a retired Special Education Teacher with over 30 years of experience serving students across elementary, intermediate, and high school levels in the Puerto Rico Department of Education. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to individualized instruction and supporting children with diverse learning needs through compassion, creativity, and structure.
Vilma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from the Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) and is currently pursuing studies in Social Event Coordination at Columbia Central University. She also holds a Certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the Family Balance Therapy Academy.
Olivia Parsons
Viviana Rodriguez
Viviana Rodriguez brings 10+ years in early childhood education and leadership. Originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, and now in Springfield, Vermont, she discovered her passion volunteering at her grandmother’s daycare. She holds an A.S. in Early Childhood Education and is completing a B.S. in Child and Adolescent Psychology along with her Montessori Certification. Before IMS, Viviana spent six years as a Lead Preschool Teacher at Dartmouth College Childcare Center and tutored reading and math for K–1 students. Fluent in ASL, she mentors new educators and fosters inclusion, independence, and joyful, hands‑on learning. She designs environments with routines and visual supports and partners with families through conferences and notes. Her classroom blends hands‑on materials, ASL, and language to build confidence and independence.
Nicole Light
Nicole Light is an AMS‑certified Montessori educator with dual degrees in Child Development (North Dakota State University) and Elementary Education (Valley City State University). She began her career in multi‑age public school classrooms and has guided both Early Childhood and Elementary II (grades 4–6) learners. Nicole is completing her Elementary II credential at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies. Her classroom emphasizes cosmic education and integrates math, language, and cultural studies through key lessons, hands‑on materials, and student‑led research, fostering independence, collaboration, and purposeful work. She guides student‑led research and lessons that link geography and science, and uses observation to adjust lessons to each child. Nicole partners with families to build routines for focus and community care.
Benjamin Perron
Benjamin Perron is part of the Immersion Montessori School team, where he supports classroom routines, student engagement, and daily operations with a calm and organized approach. A graduate of Thetford Academy, Benjamin also completed dual enrollment coursework through the University of Vermont, Community College of Vermont, and Southern New Hampshire University, gaining early exposure to college-level studies in communication and organization.
Before joining IMS, Benjamin worked at Bethel Mills, where he developed strong skills in customer service, teamwork, and multitasking—qualities that now help him build positive relationships with students and staff alike. Benjamin enjoys helping create a safe, collaborative, and enriching environment where children can explore and grow with confidence and curiosity.
Valeria Rios
Valeria S. Ríos Rolón is a bilingual early childhood educator with hands‑on experience in preschool and kindergarten classrooms, including work with children with autism and other learning differences. She individualizes instruction and uses creative strategies to support communication, social‑emotional growth, self‑help skills, and school readiness. Valeria holds a Certificate in the Preschool Assistant Program from National University in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, where she completed her practicum at Colegio Emadrian. At IMS she is known for clear communication with families, compassionate classroom management, and warm, consistent relationships that help children feel safe and eager to learn. She prepares bilingual circle times and hands‑on centers, uses visuals and routines for transitions, and partners with families to share strategies.
Maria Melendy
Maria Melendy, an Upper Valley native, brings over a decade of childcare and education experience to Immersion Montessori School. Her journey in the field began at just 15 years old, when she started working as a camp counselor and swim instructor—a foundation that sparked her lifelong dedication to working with children.
Over the years, Maria has served in a variety of early education and care roles, including Float Teacher, Infant and Toddler Teacher, and Life Enrichment Coordinator. She maintains current CPR and First Aid certifications and has also worked with individuals with special needs through community-based programs, where she demonstrated patience, compassion, and professionalism.
Lukas Maki
Lukas Maki is a creative and community-minded educator pursuing dual enrollment studies through River Valley Community College and the New England School of the Arts. Passionate about art, psychology, and environmental science, Lukas brings curiosity, empathy, and initiative to their work with children.
Before joining IMS, Lukas gained experience in both leadership and service roles—as President of the Fiber Arts Club and Vice President of the Film Club, where they organized collaborative projects and community events. Lukas has also volunteered with local shelters and food programs, developing strong teamwork and communication skills.
Kelly Poitras
Kelly Poitras comes with a strong background in early childhood education and classroom support. Before joining IMS, she served as a Paraprofessional at Lisbon Regional School and most recently as a Preschool Teacher at Bright Horizons Daycare, where she cared for children ages 2–4 years.
Kelly is passionate about helping children grow socially and emotionally through play-based learning. Her teaching emphasizes communication, independence, and creativity, fostering a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and heard. Known for her patience, positivity, and organization, Kelly creates a calm, engaging classroom that encourages curiosity and confidence in each student.
Paulina Goodale
Paulina Goodale is an early childhood educator who blends Montessori practice with outdoor, nature‑based learning. She has taught in Mexico and the United States, most recently as a Montessori Assistant Teacher at Hans Christian Andersen Montessori School in New Hampshire. Paulina founded Bare Toes Forest School, a parent–toddler program that nurtures curiosity, sensory exploration, and care for the natural world through songs, trails, and seasonal projects. With a psychology background from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, she brings a bilingual, developmentally informed approach that centers connection, calm routines, and each child’s pace. She partners with families to extend learning outdoors, reinforces social skills through games, and prepares environments for concentration, practical life, and exploration.
Estelia Pizarro
Estelia Pizarro brings a strong background in hospitality, administration, and customer service to her role at Immersion Montessori School. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Estelia has worked in a variety of professional settings—from front desk operations to logistics coordination—where she developed exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Her experience managing guest relations, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations translates seamlessly into supporting the families, staff, and visitors at IMS. Estelia is known for her warm demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to keep complex systems running efficiently.
Irene Gutierrez Vivancos
Irene Gutierrez is a creative and bilingual educator who brings international experience and a passion for art and language learning to Immersion Montessori School. Originally from Spain, Irene has studied in both Spain and the United States and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts at Southern New Hampshire University.
At IMS, Irene supports classrooms through Spanish immersion lessons and creative projects that inspire self-expression, collaboration, and curiosity. Her strong background in art, design, and visual communication helps children connect language learning with creativity and play.
Althea Champion
Althea Champion is an Early Childhood Educator who blends language, the arts, and cultural learning to build confident, empathetic, independent learners. She earned a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College (summa cum laude), completed a Russian immersion at Middlebury Language Schools, and studied storytelling and self-expression at Burren College of Art in Ireland. Before IMS she worked in communications and education roles that strengthened curriculum design, documentation, and family communication. In the classroom Althea integrates art, dramatic play and global folktales with rich language experiences, guiding children to narrate, draw, and present their ideas. Her practice emphasizes observation, social-emotional coaching, and culturally responsive materials so every child feels seen, heard, and capable.
Keisha Oyola
Keisha Lynn Oyola brings strong organizational and interpersonal skills to her role at Immersion Montessori School. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Keisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Ana G. Méndez University and a Master of Science in General Psychology from CCU in Santa Ana, California.
With a professional background in healthcare administration, customer service, and team coordination, Keisha is experienced in managing communication across families, staff, and service providers. Her bilingual fluency in Spanish and English allows her to connect meaningfully with families and ensure clarity and warmth in every interaction.
Candy Adorno
Candy Adorno brings exceptional organizational and communication skills to her role at Immersion Montessori School. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Candy has extensive experience as an Executive Assistant, supporting leadership teams and coordinating complex schedules, documents, and activities with precision and care.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Candy excels at fostering smooth communication between staff, families, and community partners. She is known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping operations running efficiently.
Megan van der Stok
Megan van der Stok
Finance Manager
Megan van der Stok serves as Finance Manager at Immersion Montessori School, overseeing payroll, benefits administration, reimbursements, and other staff-facing finance operations. She brings over a decade of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and office management, with a strong background in compliance, internal controls, and process improvement.
Megan previously worked as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper in Vermont, where she reduced accounting costs, streamlined workflows through SOP development, and managed payroll, benefits, audits, and reconciliations. She also brings HR compliance experience from her time at Dartmouth College. Megan holds a B.S. in Community Entrepreneurship from the University of Vermont and earned her Certified Public Bookkeeper credential in 2022.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys horseback riding, caring for her small farm, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
